The Benevolent Society Ball 2026

Everybody’s favourite way to kick start the festive season is back at The Grand Hotel Birmingham on Thursday 26th November – a week earlier than usual in a bid to avoid diary clashes with other industry events.

(If you are booking a full table (max 12 people per table) and would prefer to pay on invoice please let me know).

Most of you know the drill by now but if you haven’t been before you can expect to be welcomed with a glass of fizz whilst having the chance to catch up with or meet new industry friends and colleagues before entering the beautiful Ball Room for a 3-course dinner, entertainment and fundraising activities. All in aid of supporting our industry charity, The Benevolent Society.  With special thanks to Malca Amit for being headline sponsor for this year’s event.

New for 2026:
Thanks to The Betts Group there will be a chance for someone in the room to win a 10g SMO gold bar!

‘The David Doyle Best Waistcoat Award’ - in memory of our much-loved trustee, David Doyle who organised the Charity Ball for many years and played a huge part in raising vital funds for The Benevolent Society. He was also famous for his collection of colourful waistcoats, which became something of a Ball tradition. So, in David's honour, we're inviting guests to don their best waistcoat for the evening. The winner will receive a special prize on the night.

We’ve got a new band for this year, dancing shoes at the ready!

Gift a Ticket to a Beneficiary: Share the spirit of the industry this Christmas - We believe everyone should have the opportunity to be part of our industry's celebrations. If you would like to help, you can purchase one or more additional tickets to be gifted to beneficiaries of The Benevolent Society who may not otherwise be in a position to attend.

Sponsorship opportunities – if you are interested in sponsoring an element of the evening please get in touch, we have a range of sponsorship opportunities to suit all budgets.
