eatsleepdoodle, the British brand behind reusable, colour-in-and-wash-again gifts, has launched its first fabric colouring books designed specifically for toddlers aged 1 and up. Until now, eatsleepdoodle's colour-in-wash-repeat range - spanning placemats, pencil cases, backpacks and pyjamas — has been designed for children aged 3 and over. The new Farmyard and Under the Sea Colouring Books (£14.95 each) mark the brand's first step into products built for its very youngest doodlers.

Each 100% cotton book from eatsleepdoodle is made from soft, durable fabric pages that won't tear or turn to mush under enthusiastic scribbling, and comes complete with five chunky, easy-grip wash-out pens, sized specifically for tiny hands still building fine motor control. The ink is non-toxic, so there's no cause for concern if a curious toddler decides to give a pen a taste-test.

Once a page is filled in, it simply washes clean at 30°C and is ready to colour all over again, meaning a single book can provide months, or even years, of creative play, rather than being discarded after one use.

The two designs that are available are:
Farmyard Colouring Book - cows, sheep, tractors and cheerful farmyard friends, for little ones who love animals and muddy wellies.
Under the Sea Colouring Book - fish, octopuses, turtles and coral reefs, for budding ocean explorers.

Illustrations have been designed with toddlers specifically in mind: bold, simple shapes and generous colouring areas that make it easier for little ones to stay roughly within the lines, while leaving plenty of room for the all-over-the-place colouring, that's half the fun at this age. Beyond the fun, the books offer a genuinely screen-free first step into creativity, encouraging early fine motor skills, colour and shape recognition, and focused, calming playtime, whether at home, out for lunch, or on a long car journey.
